Ever Drink Coftea?

It has been a dark and dreary day here in my neck of the Maritimes today.  We received some much needed rain, but still not quite enough I’m afraid.  It was very nice to spend the day curled up with my current read (Something Borrowed-Emily Giffin) and read the day away.  I am feeling rather down in the dumps, shall we say, and tired and sluggish.  I have not eaten a whole lot today, but I did make myself a cup of coftea.  Yes, coftea.

You see, I don’t drink very much coffee. I’m not a Tim Horton’s fanatic, though I do make my way there on occasion, but I will make myself a cup of Van Houtte flavored coffee once in a while if I’m feeling like I need it.  I’m more of a tea person.  The interesting part here, or perhaps the strange part, is that I have a 1 cup coffee maker that I sometimes like to use for brewing tea.  I’m sure I can’t be the only one who does this, but that’s besides the point.  I hadn’t used it for tea in quite some time since I’ve been drinking coffee mostly every morning before work.  This afternoon I decided that I should have a cup of tea, and rather than fire up my nonexistent tea kettle (that gave up on me *sobs*) I readied my “coffee” maker and threw in the tea bag and waited.  The end result was a cup of normal looking tea, that tasted like coffee.  It wasn’t the greatest end result, but I drank it anyway.

I think I not only have to go clothes shopping, but I should go shopping for a new tea kettle so as to avoid the coftea. It’s not something that I think would be craved for a hot drink.  I somehow don’t see it happening. Hm. Maybe I’m on to something. Perhaps I was destined to be the inventor of two of the most popular hot drinks combined together to create the perfect all-time-favorite hot drink!

Nah, I was just destined for flukes.  Yep. Flukes.

Coftea. TEA that makes you COUGH, due to the coffee flavour.

I’m not sure how I’d react to tea that tastes like coffee. Probably not very well.. it’s like, when you’re expecting to drink sprite and get bubbly water instead? Total let down.
